Vitro is committed to health and wellness.
In a strategic alliance with the Medical Missions Network, Vitro aims to provide quality medical services and assistance to the indigenous Mayan communities of Quintana Roo. Medical Mission offers care in pregnancy, child development and nutrition, and care for chronic diseases, among other things.
Through the donation of glass bottles, Vitro and Medical Mission support the Mayan community in the sale of organic honey produced by the inhabitants of the town of Felipe Carillo Puerto, with profits that benefit the community.
Vitro aims to create a healthy environment, cooperate with society, and make health affordable and of high quality. This partnership is significant for Vitro, as together with Medical Mission, we work to advance Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, and Goal 17: Partnership for Sustainable Development. The United Nations World Health Organization defines health as “the full range of health services, from prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, and care to the end of life, and the promotion of the need to create networks for all. Such services must be of quality, comprehensive, safe, effective and affordable for all. Cross-sectoral policies and actions are also required to address the social determinants of health.
